Is it normal that talking about cats makes me cry?

Cute things make me cry, especially cats. whenever I talk about them I have to stop because I'll start crying a little, I was on the phone to animal shelter just now, I was interested in fostering kittens, and I almost started crying as she was talking about the cats and kittens. But actually seeing/playing with cats doesn't make me cry, it's just when I imagine them in my mind. Is that normal?
