Is it normal that some people will talk on the phone while on the toilet

I find this to be not only nasty but wierd, my friend when he usually calls me will be on the toilet. And I usually know that he was on the toilet when I hear a flush. If it was an emergency I would understand but he does it so often that it's starting to be really nasty. So does this happen to other people because this is really starting to get on my nerves.

    this is more than weird it's really nasty !! I just cant accept it , I know it's "human nature ", but we should show some respect for others , i would never ever talk to someone while i'm in the toilet

      True my friend is completely white trash. He has moved from just pooping to peeing on the phone as well. It is nasty. glad to know some people have decency here and in the area. It's also nasty cause I can hear it.

    I will do it when I have to pee really bad and cant hold it any longer at which point I cover the mouth piece when Im urinating and flushing

      At least you're polite enough to hide the noise. And it is understandable in an emergency

        I'm with you on this one, I think that it's kinda nasty. When I hear the flush on the other end I always get discombobulated mid sentance... very akward - like I was in the bathroom with you while you were doing the deed.

        IIN to have your parents or friends watch you pee in the bathroom - no
        so why would it be any different when you talking to them on the phone.

          Thanks for agreeing with me. It's especially weird when talking to a guy friend and they're peeing. As a guy I find it really weird talking to another guy who's holding their penis and talking to me. I'm sure it's more awkward for a woman because you have to pull your pants down and sit whether peeing or pooping. I don't know if it's the convenience of modern technology or laziness but people should still have some modesty. Yeah we all pee and poop but your friends or family don't need to know you just went while on the phone with them. And one good thing about the phone you can't smell what just happened in their bathroom but it's still just as gross.

    Guys will do this with other male friends. I don't mind; in fact, I think it's funny. Always makes me laugh. Sometimes, I'll return the favor and aim for the middle of the water to make the loudest sound.

    I don't like it because I don't like the noises at all haha I don't know. I wouldn't think they'd want to hear that from me so I usually ask them to hold.

    What is the big deal?
    I mean, I would find it rather disturbing if I was talking on the phone with someone and all of sudden heard them grunt. But what's wrong with harmless peeing? It's not like they're describing what they're doing (at least noone I know of does that). I think it's kind of funny when it's between two people who have known each other for a while, it shows that they are comfortable with each other and that they trus one another.

    My grandmother does it. I find it rather icky. She'll gleefully inform you what she's doing, and tell you that if she didn't, there'd be a...um...mess...

    Gets rid of the telemarketers, I guess...

    I also do it, not all the time though. I don't find it rude if I'm talking to friends but using the bathroom in a phone interview would be a different story.

    Well when one guy hears another guy peeing you know the guy peeing is holding their penis. Now if it's my girlfriend I might not make a big deal of it as long as it's every now and then. If it's a habit it's wrong, nasty, and lazy.
