Is it normal that some of my jokes are so bad that people get angry?

I am not talking about the offensive jokes that would obviously piss off the thinner skinned folks among us. I mean like the "groaner" jokes. couple examples -

I was with a friend watching the movie "Rubber". It is about a tire going around killing people. In one part of the movie there are these men throwing old tires into a fire pit. The tire saw this and left. I told my friend, "Yeah, he saw that going on and figured he better ROLL!"
Instead of laughing, she said in a very serious and angry tone, "OK that was one of the worst groaner jokes ever!"

Another time my room mate and I were talking about transgender pronouns. Some TG supposedly like to go by the pronoun "ze" as opposed to he or she. I haven;t met any but anyways, I said, "What if a TG person was on the run from the law, would we have to use the pronoun "flee"? She almost laughed but then got rather upset because the joke was so dumb.
