Is it normal that people who want to talk politics piss me off?

I won't let on about what my actual political views are because that's not really the point. I find that people on both sides of the fence that spout propaganda all the time are extremely annoying. I find it especially annoying when they do this in a smaller group. If I'm with 6 or 7 friends and one of them starts doing it, I find it annoying but bearable. I won't participate in the ensuing conversation and in my opinion, no harm done. It's when I'm alone with someone who is far to the opposite side of my views who won't shut up that I get really annoyed. I mean, WTF am I supposed to even say at that point? I don't like to debate but they are obviously egging me on right?

Democrat, republican, it doesn't matter. Freemasons rule the world.

Yeah, arguing politics with people is a complete waste of time. The people engaging in the argument just end up even more entrenched in their own beliefs than before.

It's not the politics that are bothering you it's the way they're presented and the fact that you can't convince those with different views to agree with you: they probably feel exactly the same way about you.

What stops you from ending the conversation and/or just walking away?

When they bring it up in the car. Happens every once in a while. Last time I was driving a work friend back from a Wing Stop at lunch and he started in on gun control. In retrospect, I actually agree with the position he took on this issue (that is rare for us lol) but he presented it like a jack ass.

I'd be banning politics in the car then if it annoys you so much: I can see it leading to road rage inside the car!

I think there are only 3 choices, politics, muslims, and refugees. My box is stuck on refugees.
