Is it normal that people were thrown off plane because of farting passenger?

So I read recently that some American airline threw some passengers off a plane because they fought with a passenger who kept farting on the flight non-stop. Apparently they were really disgusting smelly ones and the guys sitting behind them objected to it and fought with the farting man and consequently were thrown off the flight along with 2 women who were sitting with them.

The 2 women complained later saying they were not part of the fight and were just unfortunately sitting next to the 2 fart objecting men and did not know them.

Thoughts if any?

  Yeah it's real alright, I saw it on 4 different news sites. Although I think I got it wrong, as it mightn't have been an American airline.
  
  I am more appalled and also confused by another user pointing out that another passenger was taken off an airline to her smelly crotch. That is truly revolting.

      Well I am pretty sure that there are no airlines in the world that would have a no farting in plane policy, as apparently people tend to fart more on planes because of the air pressure. I just think that if the farts were as bad as it was stated that the farting passenger should have been taken off the plane as well as the objecting passengers.

        Well apparently the two women passengers sitting next to the guys objecting to fartbum were kicked off as well. They (the women said) that just because they were Morrocan as the guys were, they didn't know the other 2 guys and were just sitting there next to them when they were thrown off the plane.
        
        So I think it is unfair that THEY were thrown off the plane and not (like I said before) the objectionable farter in question.

      That ANYONE would let their genitalia get to that point where apparently a WHOLE plane could smell it!
      
      I actually read that this was a "fake"story back in 2016. Would like to think it was a fake story.
      
      For all we know, maybe the farting passenger story is a fake one too, though it seems as it may be a tiny bit more legitimate.

If it was me, I would've been sick. I can't tolerate other people's farts. I would be vomiting uncontrollably and I'd be really pissed if they tried to kick me off the plane because of that guys farts. This shit is just another reason why I have no desire to use any form of mass tranport, flying used to be nice but it's trash now...it's like a flying bus these days with all kinds of stinky, dirty, nasty scumbags and loudmouths and drunks.

  I absolutely detest flying. The airlines charge exhorbitant fees, only to treat you like a terrorist- criminal, give you shitty accommodations and give you snotty attitude. Not to mention the germs and potential firey death!

It wasn't American Airlines. It was Transavia Airlines on a flight from Dubai to Amsterdam.

Omg i saw one where there was an emergency landing because some nasty hoes crotch smelled that bad.

    My bad, I didn't mean that they threw them off the plane literally, what they did was stop the plane at the nearest landing and ejected the passengers. No I am not mentally challenged or have a fart fetish.
