Is it normal that people are burning union flags outside my house today?

I dont believe its in good character to burn ANY countries flag, it just stirs up trouble. There are many positive ways to celebrate independence, w/o looking like redneck fucktards.

Just as a sign of their ignorance, the Union flag is not the flag of England. It us the flag for Great Britain. Great Britain also includes Scotland and Wales. We did not gain our independence from the Scots or the Welsh.

The irony is that George Washington would be ashamed of them. Whilst he led the Thirteen Colonies in rebellion, he did so because he felt the Common Law rights of the English folks in the Colonies were not being respected, even after independence was won he was still highly proud to be an Anglo-Saxon, and would reportedly raise a glass to his ancestral motherland during social gatherings.
