Is it normal that only one of my leather shoes is creasing?

I recently had to receive a client at work to discuss the progress of a project. Being a relatively casual setting, but not wanting to come across as not caring, I decided to find a line inbetween the two extremes of formality. Unfortunately, I didn't have anything that wasn't one of the extremes, so doing some shopping was in order. Among the purchased items were a pair of leather shoes, which ended up sitting so comfortably, I decided to start wearing them to work more often.

This was about a month ago. Everybody knows leather wears and creases. I know leather wears and creases. Especially if you wear it often. I'll have them fixed up a bit soon (also semi-ran into a street tile today), but I've never seen a pair of leather shoes that only has one (sadly badly, see photo) creasing shoe, though. Is this normal?

I guess it's normal my shoes don't crease identically, although I wish they would.

Which makes sense, but the creasing on the right is really extreme compared to the almost intact left. Luckily, it's not a formal shoe, so I can just pretend they're supposed to look somewhat damaged. It's good to know it's normal, though. I'll just see if I can have them fixed up a bit.

      Thanks!
