We've been married for many years. I wanted her to try to get a girlfriend several years ago. She was like no way & she'd never desired that. A year ago, she said ok, I want to try. She's 45 and she started seeing a 27-year old woman months ago. She admitted that she loves it and thanks me for allowing her to try. The last several weeks, she spends 6 days a week with her girlfriend. I asked her why she can't spend more time with me. She said she's trying to establish an impenetrable bond between her and her girlfriend so that her gf will know that she's committed to her. She said that she likes being married to me bc I'm a good provider and that her gf needs her almost all of the time.

    Why not just give her/them everything you own and sign over all future paychecks to them, then go and live under a bridge somewhere.

    It seams pretty messed up but honestly you did kinda create the monster so to speak. She's enjoying it especially being with someone younger. When you're in a long relationship and/or going through a midlife crisis people want to feel young again, they want to feel sexy, and powerful, and so many other things and you have her the opportunity to explore that. With her liking it as much as she is of course you're going to start to wonder and probably feel a bit inferior or self conscious? I can guarantee you that it's not going to last forever and she will really see what she has in you and who knows maybe at that point you guys can go back to rocking eachother worlds again! I don't agree that she is putting you on like the back burner though. If I wanted something like that in my life and my husband being that understand...i would probably at the very least split my attention and absokutely not give the fling more attention. You seam like a very devoted husband trying to give her what she wants but the only way it will really work is if you both get what you not. No one ways streets.
