It does seem cold but a lot of these affair need to be taken care of before his death (if he is passing). A lot of people count on life insurance to help with the funeral arrangements. Sorry to hear that his health is poor and I hope things get better.

my father lived about 1 year 1/2 in that coma bed ridden. i was 21 yrs at the time thru out that time he didnt participate in doctors (over 15 mettings) meetings, soicial security appiontments, medicare, medicaid, i was most worried about the medical aspect of this frist! at the time of my fathers death, me and my brothers paid for the funeral with our money. we r young, my brothers are 20 ,21. my uncles are well established more then us!...(fathers)job held a fund raiser and he (uncle) collected it like as if hes been the one stuggling with cash and bought flowers with it 4 the funeral! makes me mad that they couldnt even buy flowers!

Get police protection on your father. A common motive for murder seems to be over life insurance and the money that can be gotten if the person dies. It doesn't have to mean that this is the case but to be on the safe side, because this man is giving off a creepy vibe when I read this, be cautious. It might even be a good idea to try to get a restraining order against him. Get one that makes him have to away not only from your dad but for you and others who are close to your dad.

well if you have bad feelings about their intentions then you should probably following those feelings. a few years ago my husbands grandfather passed away and he left everything to his grandkids (my husband and his brother). he left his furniture and about 2k from his bank but my father in law and his sisters were adamant that there was more money and it caused a lot of friction in the whole family. its very sad that people have money as their number one priority when it comes to death. they shouldnt even be thinking about funeral arrangements or anything of the sort until he has passed on. they should be supporting each other and trying to get through a tough time. some people are just jerks.

This is sad but quite common. Some people just think about money and whatever they can get their hands on when people die. Its really poor form I think but I've seen it in my family, suddenly someone dies then there's a big rift and families split. Its sickening and greedy when people care more about money when a loved one has just died

Maybe he's in a finacial crisis and is plotting his death, hoping for a big inheritance..,.. Maybe "pull the plug".....

Or your just being paranoid and he's looking out for the familys well being should the worst thing happen.

Agree with above poster. You'll need the money to pay for his medical bills and funeral expenses should he die.
