My mum has always been worried that I'll turn into a lezzie if I keep lesbian company. I have always wondered why she thinks this and if its common for parents to think this way? I may be moving in with a lesbian couple soon & I know my mother probably thinks its a bad idea..
She's also asked me if I will turn gay later in life and she's said things like "I don't mind if you go gay later". IIN?

      The difference is it's outside of physical probability for you to turn into a chicken, whereas turning into a lesbian doesn't require some kind of quantum tunneling transmogrification event.

      It's my responsibility to contradict your idea as homosexuality is not a disease or any kind of social issue. Homosexuality is caused by a complex interplay of genetic, hormonal, and environmental influences and is not ones choice.
      Scientific research has shown that homosexuality is a normal and natural variation in human sexuality and is not in and of itself a source of negative psychological effects.
      As sexuality is personal matter, homosexuality should not be treated as social taboo either.

      You are very confused. Homosexuality will never be "eradicated." It has always existed, even in the animal kingdom, and will always exist because heterosexuals keep producing new ones. Most people know this. If it ever was "eradicated," there wouldn't be much celebration because most people don't get caught up in it like you do and are too busy managing their own lives. You should join them. Most people are not concerned with who their neighbor chooses to have sex with. See Mario24's response above.
