Is it normal that my mom tells me things much too personal?

I'm 21 years old living in my own condo. I keep in touch with my parents because I want them to know that I won't just abandon them since I'm living away from them. My mother has friends that she both goes out to restaurants with and shopping. I don't know why she feels the need but every other day she tells me how regular she is. "Oh Emma I've been pooping like a baby. Very regular". Don't tell me that. That's gross. I've told her it's gross but she said she's just being herself, but I bet she never tells her friends this or else they would leave her. Is this normal?
