Is it normal that my mom spends a lot of time with my sisters boyfriend?

I am 26 years old and I currently live with my parents plus my boyfriend, my twin sister and her boyfriend! My sisters boyfriend (27 yrs old) has been living with us for about a month now and my mother (52 yrs old) seems to be spending a lot of time with him and then when he's not around she talks about him. Some nights they split a bottle of wine and talk while my sister sits in her room. (My sister and his relationship is rocky at the moment and he's moving out in a week.) My mother said the other day that she would continue to talk to him even if it doesn't work out between my sister and him. Is this is this normal or is my family crazy for thinking it's a little weird?

Normal. I don't believe that she's having some secret affair with him. She might view him like the son she never had. He's able to open up to her and she gives him advice. Their relationship is quite beautiful actually. :')

This kind opened my eyes/mind. My family is far from normal haha. I'm glad I reached out to other people for a second opinion! Thanks.
