Is it normal that my mom saves her dental floss and uses it again and again?

My mom flosses her teeth a lot. And she saves her dental floss to use another time. Plus, she never really gets around to throwing any of it away—it finds itself in places around the living room and car, etc. Am I overly critical, or is this normal?
