Is it normal that my little sis is so insecure?

This isnt urgent but my little sister (shes 11) is SUPER worried about herself and her body.
She has this friend, who never says she looks nice in anything. Every day she tells me how her mate says she looks horrible in black nails, or weird in skinny jeans, its something new every day. I don't even know why shes still friends,

Anyway, is it normal that my little sister is so insecure about herself??

    Tell your baby sister to dump her frienemy (friend/enemy).

    She's probably looks up to you, so it may help if you try to counteract it by saying nice things about her.

    You obviously care for her so not all the time but at least once in a while. just compliment on how pretty she looks or tell your parents to chip in some times. Slowly that would boosts how she would feel about herself and maybe you could get one of your guy friends to say she looks nice pleasantly on a certain day.

    I was very insecure at her age too. I would break down and cry because of how ugly and fat I felt and think about how much better everyone else was. Was she shy and ignored in gradeschool?

    It took me a while to grow out of it, but yeah, I think it is normal--but not a good normal.
