Its really strange but its been happening alot. Ill be lying in bed or something and I think something is on me cos I'll feel a crawling sensation on my skin I'll use the light from my phone to look and there's nothing there. I've come to the conclusion that my body hair twitches. Is that normal?
I would say it's not normal. I have weird bodily sensations but I also have Myofascial pain and Fibromyalgia symptoms. Sometimes I have weird little itches that hurt like a little bug bite as well as sensations like my skin is tingling as if there's Icy Hot or menthol on my skin. Sadly, I have to try to watch my sugar intake cause too much sugar seems to make my symptoms worse. I hate to say it but too much sugar can cause itching and rashes.
The same thing happens to me all the time, but I've come to the conclusion that it's just my hair getting stuck on something or the wind.
It's called formication. It's fairly normal when you're falling asleep or have a fever. It can also be a side effect of certain medications. It actually happens to me if I take benadryl for some reason but not bad enough that I can't ignore it. If it's bothering you a lot you may want to see a doctor about it to figure out the root cause.
I've gotten "crawling sensations" too but I think in my case they were actually sensations. Hair doesn't "twitch". There are quite a few things that can cause this sensation: parasites, I think Shingles, drug use, hallucinations, etc. If you want to find out what this is, you should see a doctor.
