Sometimes when I feel emotional pain my heart physically hurts. Like someone shot a hole into my my chest right where my heart is. and I can't really control it. I'm just wondering if anyone has had the same experience.
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, also known as broken-heart syndrome, is a real thing, and can fuck you up something terrible. Weakened tissue around the heart, triggered by stressful or unbearable situations, can cause ulcers and irregular blood flow.
I don't know why people are saying you aren't normal, have a free "YES, it's normal" on me.

That happened to me once. I beat the syndrome by walking outside for one hour each day for a month.
If you have discomfort regularly around your chest or heart area get it checked out. Not trying to scare you, but it's common knowledge that stress is the leading cause of heart problems.
Only when I'm extremely stressed, but I'm pretty sure I've read articles about stuff like heartbreak actually physically weakening the heart...or something like that...
It's either angina or heartburn (acid indigestion). Visit a doctor and find out which one.
