Is it normal that my friend lies about the stupidest shit all the time

One of my close friends always lies about the stupidest things...like how my town used to be a huge landfill, or how his great grandpa had an 800 acre plot of land and a ton of guns, or about FUCKING ANYTHING. He says he painted his walls at his house for $100 and his siblings said he did nothing and played Xbox (that's ALL HE DOES). He says he can fix his dad's car. THE LIST GOES ON FOREVER! Is it normal for him, and what should I do? I CAN'T FUCKING TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! He will know everything about what my other friends and I start randomly talking about (which is all BS). And if I don't believe him he will start shouting to defend it! WTF?!!!??

    People like that irritate me beyond no belief. But I guess it's their way to grab attention (making up the stories) and they way to want to fit in (the lying about stuff n u knowing it never happened). Personally I can't stand these type of people.

    My ex boyfriend was the same way!! He lied about the most stupidest little things! Its like so irritating huh lol I'm glad I got rid of him..
