Is it normal that my friend/kinda boyfriend asked me to move to the states?

So me and this guy hang out all the time, at first we were just friends but then we kinda sorta liked each other so stuff happened but we're not going out, we're like best friends still. (I'm a girl by the by.) It's weird. Anyway, so we were just hanging out like always when randomly he dropped into conversation that he is moving to the states next year. I was shocked but didn't act too upset about it. (We live in Surrey so it's pretty far away...) So I asked him more about it, what he's going to do for work, where he's going to stay etc then naturally I exclaimed "I'm so jealous, I wish I could come with you!". As soon as I said that he asked me to come with him. I laughed thinking it was a joke but then he went on to say he was serious and started talking in details about us moving there. After thinking about it, I'm considering it, but it does mean I'll have to marry him. (He has a permanent visa, it's cheaper to just get married blah blah.) He is my best friend and it would be amazing...I just need to know, is it normal for us to just get up and literally move really far away just on some notion?

    I mean yeah its normal, it might just be his way of wanting to take ur relationship to the next level... But ive never met u or him so i cant tell u if it just sounds like a dumb idea but i can tell u a lil about the states, if ur gona move here u better have jobs waiting or atleast good leads, its hard enough to get a job as a citizen and if yall are just "winging it" then u might wanna head west, cuz there aint shit worst than being broke homeless in the south south east, north east is ok but the whole newyork scene u either gota be rich, be an artist, have family, or sell drugs lol, but in the west the whole marijauna culture is picking up momentum, friendly people and gpod weather, but honesly theres good places all over its just location... Man fuck it come on over have a good life if hes a good man use good judgment but if it works it works, could be the best thing u have ever done So far... If ur ever in Texas hit me up lol...

    I'd give the marriage thing a lot more thought though, especially considering you are just friends with the guy.
