Is it normal that my friend cried for a stranger's death but not my fathers'?

My dad passed away a few weeks ago and when I told my so called bestfriend; she was indifferent to the situation, she didn't even consider asking me if I was okay.

A few days ago a random female from her home town that used to go to school with her, died in a car accident, which I have to mention she didn't know at all. I heard her saying that she couldn't stop crying when she heard the news. She even considered going to her funeral, since a shitload of people did.

is it normal that I got slightly offended by my bestfriend's "lack of interest" in my life, but apparently cares more about a stranger's?

She might not know what to say to you or handle this situation.

Instead of posting it on here you should talk to her.

Wait yeah you're 2 questions confused me. It's normal to feel offended. Obviously it is a time when you're in need of her words but she's not showing signs of caring. I find it strange she cried so much over a stranger.
