Is it normal that my first kiss felt weird at first or is it meant to feel....

I had my first kiss a couple weeks ago, I was really scared. I had just met him the day before as well. Anyways he initiated it. I also do really like him as a person and he is rather cute looking, however it did feel alien to me when we were kissing...I did like sucking his bottom lip though ( don't know if that is weird or not. It started off by sitting next to each other and he held my hand. I don't get butterflies around him as I feel sooo comfortable with him :), mind you, I haven't had butterflies since I was about 13 when I had a lot of crushes. So I'm wanting to know; Do you think I like him romantically or just as friends? Aslo; Is it meant to feel weird? I kind of got used to it after a while as we made out a lot. I am also very frigid, so don't know if this counts...

    Girl (I'm assuming you're female, but feel free to change that to "dude" if you aren't), don't call yourself frigid just because your first kiss felt a little weird to you!

    It's almost bound to feel a little weird at first -- butterflies or no butterflies. You're pressing your mouth to another person's mouth, and that's inevitably a shock the first time you do it. (For what it's worth, it's still weird the first time you kiss someone new, too.)

    Honestly, it doesn't sound like you're romantically attracted to him from the way you write about him, but that isn't something we can really tell you for sure. Usually, "I kind of got used to it" isn't the fireworks-and-floating reaction that a romantic kiss inspires. If you're romantically drawn to him, you'll want to kiss him too, and while it may still feel weird physically, it should feel right emotionally.

    Please, never call yourself something mean like "frigid" because you're choosy about how you express your emotions. You deserve kinder treatment than that.

      yeah I am a girl thanks so much for your comment, I do actually feel better now as it made a lot of sense :) I did find him cute and he was lovely so I don't really know if I am attracted to him in that way or not...

    Of course your first kiss would feel weird. You've never done it before and you probably have a lot of different ideas of what it might feel like. It's perfectly normal.

    As for the butterflies thing, I think that's normal too. I almost never feel that "butterflies" feeling when I was around a girl who I had a thing for. It's not something that happens with everyone.

    I had my first kiss few weeks ago too.. :D And it felt nice.. I was blushing A LOT.. xD
    But wait, what kind of kiss are you talking about? Bump kiss, normal kiss, or French kiss?

    The bump kiss, I got red coz it's my first.. <3
    And the normal kiss, I got really red coz it was also my first.. But it felt really nice.. <3
    Then the French kiss, WOW.! Amazing..! XD When he kissed me, he put his tongue first.. And it felt weird, but nice.. REALLY nice.. :)) <3 I love him so much.. But not just because of his kisses.. ;)

      it was a french kiss mixed with a movie kiss, and wow your lukey, wish I had felt sparks with my first kiss
