Is it normal that my feet are never cold?
I work in an extremely cold environment in the oilfields. With the wind chill, it got down to -49 degrees twice last year. My friends are always complaining that their feet being cold and buy expensive $300 insulated boots and wear two or three pairs of socks.
But I buy the cheap Brahma boots from Wal mart and for some reason, my feet never feel cold. I buy the thickest, most heavily insulated gloves I can find and my neck, head and face always feel like I'm bordering on frostbite, but the old ground pounders are still nice and cozy. Why in the world is this? Any hypotheses?
There was even once a time when I had to walk through an icy slush halfway up my shins and it felt nice and cool on my feet.
