Is it normal that my family hang up on me?

So i could just be having a normal conversation with my family and if i say something they disagree with, they just hang up on me. i am only 20 years old, yet when im interacting with my family i feel like i am dealing with teens. in my job, i deal with a lot of people. some are rude e.c.t. but ive never come across people more difficult to deal with then my family. they created problems and then expect me to fix them. also they never approve of any of my life choices which have all been very sensible. i am independent from my family and i study in college so i cant see what there problem is. is it normal for families to act like children all the time.

They sound like a family to stay away from as much as possible

My family does that to me when I don't cowtow to their preference for trivial conversation about health, weather or horrid pop-culture. They hate Trump with a seething idiocy.

Research everything you can about Sociopathic Narcissists. If your family members are as such, then with all the research you have done, it will help you tremendously!

It happens. During my intense divorce, my mother would get so into it with me that she'd hang up on me, or, I'd hang up on her. About the only calm one was my oldest sister, who's always been on my side and even made me dinner one night to calmly talk about things.

Some family members can't deal with conflict, and the only way they cope is to run away/hang up the phone. Sucks, but happens.
