Is it normal that my contraceptive implant is starting to poke out my skin?

Does anyone here have one??
i only have one other friend who has it and she says everythings fine with her, but honestly, i think this shit is horrible and honestly would love to know if anyone else has any concerns about this, since, i dont know, its poking out, i have as much acne as possible (as before i had 1 pimple a month, before my period), it hurts when i have sex nor do i even want to much honestly, and i dont really get my period anymore but when i did it was very strange(not going to describe)...
im actually afraid that it poking out means thats not working anymore

by asking is this normal i really mean is anyone else with me on this??lol sorry...

    I got my implant removed a couple months ago and it was the best thing I ever did. I had the implanon and it drove me nuts. The first half year was great I had no side effects or anything and then my period quit and I was even happier. But then came the bad things, I started getting really bad horrible headaaches every single day, I gained 50 pounds in 4 months, my blood pressure was always high and it basically made me phyco bitch. I didnt feel like myself at all. But I held it out for a year that way cause I really didnt want to get pregnant because I already have 2 kids. When I went to the doc she told me it was from the implanon so I finally decided to get it out and that the protection from pregnancy wasnt worth everything I was feeling. I got it out about 5 months ago and my aarm still hurts where she took it out. she couldnt get it out and it took her an hour to get it out. It was nothing like getting it in. but she told me that was very rare for it to get stuck like that so you probably would have to worry about that. I also have a big scar from it. But besides for that after I got it out in about a month my headaches were completely gone, my blood pressure went back to normal after a few days. I've slowly been loosing the weight but I have been loosing it these past 2 months its sped up alot. And I feel like my old self again.:) wich is the best part of all im normaly a very relaxed mellow and easy to get along with person but on the implanon i became very emotional and an utter bitch. My husband is much happier again too lol I now will not even touch another birth control these past 5 months ive just used condoms not had sex on my most fertal days and used spermicides and I have not gotten pregnant. Best thing I can say for you is check with your doc about your worries and she can help you and decide whats best. I know I could feel my implanon on the outside of my skin if thats what your talking about I could also grab both ends and kind of stick it out, but I didnt do this often cause my friend played with hers constantly and literally bent it, I didnt even know that was possible. I know some birth controls arent for everyone so dont let my story scare you lol It may be great for you and your doc might be able to give you somthing for the acne. Hope this helps

      to be honest, i dont feel like myself at all either! the worse thing is, i got the implant about 4 months into my current relationship really for the fact that we had sex every five minutes like young lovers we were and never had enough condoms! So the problem was we had too much sex, now we barely have any! im sorry to ask, but did you notice any downfall in your sexual life? because neither do i feel like it, nor does it feel good anymore :s im just sore all the time it takes my fucking vagina about a week to recover from a 15 min shag! its drives me insane, its so frustrating
      about it poking out, i've always been able, like you said, to hold both ends and what not, it was visible and very touchable, but what i mean is that i think there's really quite a difference, from how it was to how it is.. maybe im just paranoid but if feels like one of these days im just gonna scratch it and its gona literally poke out lol

      oh and im definately an utter emotional bitch nowadays, and cry so easily lol we really shouldnt mess with our hormonal sistem, huh?

        On the implanon I never felt like doing it either where as before I wanted to a couple times a week. If you feel like the implant is what is causing everything your feeling and driving you insane I reccomend getting it out. You need to go see your doctor and tell her everything you wrote on here and see what she says. And yeah I think I've learned my lesson trying to mess with the natural way of life lol since you were running out You know they give out free condoms at the health unit to anyone? You can just walk in and grab a shit ton, I sadly cannot do this and have to pay a fortune cause I'm allergic to latex and have to buy the poly..whatever ones. lol but its alot alot cheaper than another baby...(sigh )such is the way of life. And is it like deep down in your vagina? Like where your ovaries would be where you feeling pain? If so you might have cists that is a common side effect in alot of women who have it.

    Anything sticking out of your skin has got to be a risk for infection. See your doctor.

    How about ask your gyno or a doctor........nowww. I would never get one of those. Never. I think they are crazy but that's just me.
