Is it normal that my brother-in-law threw my prescribed methadone in the trash?

And the trash got collected and it's gone now. He found my prescribed methadone in the freezer in the family flat - a flat we all share when we visit the seaside. It was hidden way in the back of the freezer, behind all the frozen peas etc. where it was safe from the kids. It's illegal in Australia to dispose of someone else's Schedule 8 medication. I think he's a real wanker for doing that. I haven't been able to get it replaced (the health dept is so strict here in Australia) which has meant I had to forgo a holiday with my husband. It has really inconvenienced me. I feel so angry; he had no right to do that.

    How long have you been on the done for? Is it your first go at it?
    Are you still in it?

      1. 15 years and I've tapered down over the years to a tiny dose. I have all my natural teeth, good clear skin, I exercise every day and I look after my body and mind well.
      2. Third go.
      3. Haven't used illegal drugs for years and the only prescribed drug I'm on is methadone.
      Thanks for your support. I really appreciate that. You are so right. It is no way to live. When I was on a high dose I felt like the walking dead. It's a lot better now on a tiny dose but it's still not the same as waking up every morning full of energy and being able to fully experience your five senses and all your emotions and have optimal cognitive function.
