Is it normal that my boyfriend prefers another woman "type"?

My boyfriend has a strong physical preference for tall redheads with big cheeks and roman noses. I am a short petite brunette with a turned up nose.

When we go out, if he sees a tall redhead, he loses it and forgets I exist. He doesn't talk to me all night, or does he want to sleep with me.

Will it always be this way? I thought he was into me, but now I feel used and second best. What could I do to make this work? I do not want to feel that he is using me until he finds a red head that likes him.

    I'm married to a woman who is not at all my 'type'. Since college I've not even dated a woman over 5'4", yet she is 5'8", never mind I've always fallen for blondes and she's a brunette. So she was the first I fell in love with the person, not the body. It has worked out very well for us.
    Your relationship does not seem to be built on the same stuff. You bf sounds way immature and a class A asshole. If I were you, I'd be outta there in two heartbeats; one to say goodby and the next to beat the door hitting you in the ass, metaphorically speaking.
    No guy should ever ignore the woman he supposedly cares for, because some bit of strange walks into the place. A quick glance, then the attention goes back to the one you are with.
    Leave this child/boy before he hurts you. He's given you plenty of warning of what is coming. Good luck.

    Dude wtf? It is normal to date someone that might not be your type to a 100% BUT the way he is acting is far from right.
    It´s normal to look at other attractive persons- Discretely.

    An example;
    My boyfriend LOVES asses and we were walking down the streets with two girls in front of us and their asses were firm and round like mine and even though I could not see that he was checking them out because he was discrete I said; Nice, huh?

    He grinned and said I know him too well.

    It's okay to be attracted to other people, but he shouldn't stop paying attention to you just because he sees some random sexy bitch out on the town. YOU should be his number one priority. Wtf, man. Dump his ass.

    So the next time your out, and he does that, tell him "If you do not stop checking out other women and their asses, then Im gonna finish packing tonight, and you can kiss my ass " Either he shows, you he respects you, or he shows you he doesnt." Make a scene, embarrasse him.
