I promise that this isn't some sort of trolling, but my boyfriend really enjoys to smell my panties. We're long distance, so he often asks me to send them in plastic vacuum sealed bags and he sleeps with them / uses them to masturbate. He says they help calm him down. I think it makes sense. Pheromones exist and vacuum sealing stops bacterial growth.

Anyway, is this normal?

    Whether it's "normal" in the sense of being common is irrelevant. It's something you're apparently happy to do for him, it helps you maintain your long-distance relationship, and it has zero impact on anyone else.

    Many guys love the natural scent of their partner's vagina. The explanation you've come up with makes perfect sense to me. Humans don't have a very good sense of smell compared to most animals, but personal scent is more important than most people realise.

    Your boyfriend is obviously a particularly olfactory sort of guy, and it might be interesting for you to keep track of when you smell best to him. I wouldn't be surprised if you find that your scent around the time you ovulate is the most beguiling to him.

    One little quibble about what you say: vacuum sealing is a good idea, since it stops your panties from drying out and so helps preserve the aroma, but many bacteria don't need oxygen to multiply, and unpleasant body odours are always due to bacterial growth. If you want to go totally OCD, you could pack the vacuum-sealed panties with dry ice.

      I'll use a calendar to keep track of my cycle and see if that affects anything, though. That sounds like a fun science experiment.

      Thank you for the dry-ice tidbit! I dont want him to get sick from this. Is placing the sealed bags in a freezer comprable? Where would I go about finding dry ice? I'll use it next time I send any. Thank you so much!

        I think it's highly unlikely he's going to get ill from your panties. What's most likely is that the perfume will be become a little ripe. Kinda fishy-funky. And who knows? Maybe he likes that more than fresh?

        I have no idea where you can get dry ice where you live, and I have to confess that the suggestion wasn't entirely serious.

        Having done a quick Google, it appears that things packed with dry ice are considered hazardous cargo (because of the carbon dioxide constantly being released, I assume), and you need to use a special foam carton. So maybe good for comic effect once, but a lot more expensive than regular mail, and probably not really practical.

        Something not quite so extreme would be sending the vacuum-sealed panties with a couple of those plastic freezer blocks well-wrapped in bubblewrap or some other insulating material. That should keep your lady-essence nice and fresh for at least a few days.
