So my bf and I (of 1 month) text every single day. After the 1st week, we knew everything about each other and now we have nothing to talk about. Every time we text it's always "hey wht u doin" "nmu" "same" etc etc etc. What do I do? And I really like him and I don't want to break up with him. Help!
You knew everything about eachother after one week? I've been with my boyfriend 3 YEARS and i'm still learning. Try moving in with eachother, then see how much you thought you knew him.
If you're comfortable with each other silence isn't a problem. but if there's no surprises in your relationship then its doomed. The relationship dynamic needs to shift if you want to have new things to talk about. change up what you guys do together, unique new situations bring out new sides of people. Also focus on yourself, once you make changes and accomplish stuff in your life you can have more to report.
Agreed with splashy. That is the problem with having constant contact, most people aren't interesting enough to be so deeply complex that constant contact for a month wouldn't be enough contact to fully convey the complexities of their past and persona.
Silence is fine, there is REALLY no need to have constant contact with someone. Just so long as you still enjoy his company and have things that you like to do together aside from texting (for instance, my husband and I really like Star Trek, comic books, anime and that sort of thing so until all sci-fi and fantasy venues are destroyed, we will always have something to do together), then you're golden.
However, if you guys don't have anything in common other than you like to text each other and you don't have any common hobbies or interests to do together than uh... well good luck lol.
