My friend and I were almost best friends with this guy, and then all of a sudden he deleted us from everything - and hasn't spoken to us for almost 4 months.
I've tried asking why he won't speak to us, and in response he said "I owe you nothing."
Is this normal? How is it fixable?
Maybe he liked you and was disappointed when he learned you didn't want to be more than friends.
Probably was in love with you, you probably friendzoned him, He didn't like the results, and it's scary because that sounds like something I've done. ... Do I know you?

the least he should do, is give an explanation.

If he doesn't want to talk to you sometimes you just have to accept it.
You cannot force someone to be your friend.
Hes probably bi polar with a hard on for isolation right now. Let him be.
All you can do is tell him "I don't know what I did wrong- but I want to fix this. When you're ready to discuss it, I'll be here"
...then all you can do is wait. If he doesn't want to work it out, then you'll just have to forget it.
