Is it normal that me and my cousin explored each other's bodies at a young age?

I am a guy. When I was 8 and my cousin was 7, we used to play this weird game that is in some ways like a strip game. We had toy swords and we would have duels in my cousin's bedroom. Every time I hit her with the sword, she had to take off a piece of clothing, or vice versa. We got caught one day and I remember that she got spanked but I only got a stern warning never to do that again.We did once or twice but not as often as before. Is it normal that we did something like that at that age?

      we were intrigues by the difference in our bodies so i suppose it was for fun and out of curiosity
