Is it normal that it bothers me that there are so many underage people here?

Even though the site requires users to be at least 18, there are still hoards of teenyboppers plaguing the site. It bothers me because they hardly have enough life experience to adequately understand a lot of the personal questions that people ask on here.

You can tell there are a lot of them on here by all of the unperceptive comments, the obsessive questions about sex before marriage, and many of the ridiculous questions about loving people who are unavailable to them.

    I disagree. Although I am 20 now, I was always told about how mature I was in my early teens and older. Yes, many immature people are on this, but it's not fair to say that all the younger people are asking stupid questions. Although some are, keep in mind some adults are, too. Not all kids ask stupid, immature questions.

    Waw thank you.. There are also a lot of childish matures. Im 15 and i use this app to learn more about other peoples opinions and feelings. I dont care about age, its about the mind.

    I agree that it's better than Yahoo Answers, but disagree on the age limit. Though most younger teens haven't done much yet, some have done more than what most people have in twice the time. Hopefully they aren't wandering around having sex and such, but on relationships with friends they can contribute quite a lot.
    I myself have had all kinds of friendships due to moving a lot when I was younger, I have literally been around the world and back.

    Yeah, the 'am I in love,' 'I'm not gay but I like this guy,' 'IIN to like deathmetal/emo boys/etc' is really really annoying now.
    Unavoidable though.

    agreed!! i was first drawn to this site because it seems more mature and interesting than similar sites... so i am wondering why so many kids have come here rather than all those more mainstream forums they can choose from... it was fun when all the weird shit was posted on here, it still is but u have to sift thru a lot of the same old boring normal crap to find it these days...

    I have to agree with you if everyone under the age of 18 was banned from the site then I am pretty sure the pointless submittions wouldnt happen as much and the site would actualy be used the way it was intended. No more "I am in love" submittions that leave peopel wondering "where is the actual question or were you just stating you wer ein love for no reason to people that couldnt care less".

    You'd be surprised how many underage people we turn away every day. There's no great way to do age detection though. Our policy is very clear but the kids sign up anyway. C'est la vie
