Is it normal that i work out to over-compensate?

I am a female and all of my life, I have been taunted for being very thin. I'm a B-cup with a 26 inch waist line and 36 inch hips and, females especially, have always given me shit for having "no figure" and a flat chest.

I spent most of my life being down on myself and wearing unflattering clothes until recently. I started working out and eating less fast food and now, I have a much more fit and toned appearance. I have received quite a few compliments for my figure and I have realized that thin and toned is actually attractive, both to myself and others.

I'm working out to compensate for having a "non-feminine" body, as I'm told, and I was wondering if it's normal?

Happy for you! But I hope you started to work out for YOURSELF and not to impress anyone else.
I Aim to get toned myself because I simply adore the look.

Sounds like you had a great body to begin with. Women do skinny shaming because they're too lazy to lose weight themselves and they're jealous. But it's great you've got fit and toned, all the better!

Good for you. It is so nice to hear from someone who has, on their own, without meds, doctors, shrinks etc. gone from "being down on myself and wearing unflattering clothes" to "I have realized that thin and toned is actually attractive". Damn straight it is! Good job.

It's normal. Men usually do it more than women. Be careful what kind of work outs you do, some will make ur lady lumps shrink. Breasts and hips on women are mostly fat, so when ur body burns it's caloric and fat stores it's gonna take it from those areas most likely. I've been teased for being skinny my whole life too. It was way easier for me to just steel myself, rather than change my physical appearance to sate the people I don't even know. Just make sure you are changing because it's what YOU want, not what 'THEY' want.
