Is it normal that i want to start a new life

I really want to start a new life with a new identity living somewhere else. I want to spend about a year using nothing but cash and slowly evaporate as who I an now in the electronic world. Then adopt a new name and identity and quietly move away. No bills, no contacts, no friends, no family just start over. I can live out of a van for a year of two then slowly settle down in my new place.

  Maybe just a fantasy. Like the other poster said I don't have to reinvent myself to start over. Me and my family already don't communicate and I don't have any friends so Im pretty much there already.
  
  Some of it could be just a mental thing about cutting ties. Who knows, either way I'm like 90% there already without even trying.

I'm so excited about this I'm so close. I feel like Al Pacino in Carlito's Way. I can see the sunrise in my new life waiting. When I close my eyes I dream of it. Only I'm not going to wait for or take a girl with me.

Just make sure I'm in top physical health, no more drinking and continue to work out everyday. Being alone all you have is your health because if/when something happens you have nobody by your side. So in a way its also kinda scary.

  Not running away just being free. Cutting these last very thin ties and living in my van is the way to do it. I'm so close I can taste it.
  
  End of this year I'm gone, live in my van for two years then settle down in a new place or do some travelling. If I save up enough I can probably do some expat living.

      Already figured all that out. I won't carry everything important with my in the Van, that way if it gets stolen or I loose it i wont be SOL.
      
      Once I plan my Van life route out and have my new ID ready I'm going to set up stashes at different rent centers etc along the way. Pay them off for 1-2 years in advance and Im good. My free lance work will be under my new name with checks and an account in that name. Basically the paper trail for me will end very soon and the paper trail for my new name will come to life some time in the future. If I even decide to let my new life have a paper trail. I could get pain in Bitcoin and use a Western Union to turn it into cash.

thats sounds like a interesting way to live life. Not a bad thing to when u just want to spice things up, it used to be much more common before the internet because it was harder to track someone but its still an interesting way to live, life. i voted normal, because that is a very deep and interesting thought that i'm sure alot of people have had but have never done. Just don't knock anyone up in the process.

  Nope not getting anybody pregnant. Ive been thinking about this off and on for a long time. and I think I put myself in a good position to finally do it thanks for fate. Friends and family kinda faded away and I never call anybody so Im already kind of forgotten about. Its been 10 years since I talked to anyone in my family. I can do this and I think now is the time. Plus I'm still young and in good health.
  
  I closed my last bank account this month and as soon as my freelance picks up under my new name I'm going to start slowing selling my stuff and downsizing for van life.

Your current life "paper trail" is NEVER going to go away. Ever.

How are you going to start this new you? Do you have a new you birth certificate? Its going to be hard to get a new bank account or drivers license or social security card without it. No SSN no bank account. No identification no bank account.

The old "assume the identity of someone no longer using it" i.e. the dead person method hasn't been viable for many years now.

Unless your trying to escape debt or the mob or the government you don't need a new identity just move some where else and do what you want to do instead of what you're doing now. Theres no identity problems and it works just as well. I know I did it.

        Good one, mate. Only you or an admin could delete it and for an admin would only see it if you reported it and frankly they don't respond that fast. I know it was there because I saw it too.
