Is it normal that i want to see how much karma i have?

I'd like some kind of indication as to how much karma I have. Do any of you want that? Is it normal?

    I'm pretty sure he doesn't let us see it on purpose because of potential abuse issues. People spam commenting and stuff to try and affect their 'comment karma.' Popularity contests as well. I think it's been discussed before actually...

    On the one hand, I can definitely see the potential for abuse and misuse if users could see it. On the other hand I feel like if it's something that we're forced to be subjected to, then we absolutely should be able to know what it is.

    I've just had a thought. Maybe a possible solution could be that, instead of a physical number that would represent a user's 'comment karma,' there could be an alternative representation of it such as a meter or something that would just say 'good' and 'bad' respectively. You could see how much you were in the good or bad and not actually be assigned any numbers at all.

    Lastly, I just comment about these things to entertain myself anymore... I know it probably won't happen.

    Not likely to happen, because it's a good idea. Any suggestions for things that keep the community informed are ignored even more than regular sensible suggestions.

    But there are pretty fonts for gold now, so really, all is fan-fucking-tastic.

    I don't believe in karma. It's something people believe to make themselves feel better about bad things.

    Some of the most immoral people have the best lives and some of the kindest people suffer their whole life and never feel happiness.

        Oh, that would be interesting to see. You can probably get an idea by looking at your comments being thumbs upped or downed. Also depending on what you report. If you report things you just don't like its bad but if you report posts that are nonsense its good. I have only reported posts that were repeatitive posts as well a gibberish and advertisement ones.
