Is it normal that i want to hate someone for not being in love with me?

I have been in love with my bestfriend in the whole entire world for nine years. He continually gives me false hope that we are going to be together. He repeatedly breaks commitments he has made to me. He contradicts himself over and over again. He is easily jealous and a complete and total hypocrite. He doesn't want me but he doesn't want me to be with anyone else, either. He's also really nice when he wants to be. He's very understanding and goodhearted. He's smart and creative. He's talented and funny. Is it normal that I think that I should completely and totally diss my BESTfriend forever just because he doesn't love me back?

    To be honest, I don't really know what I would do. You should try maybe asking him about all of his abrupt behaviour. Maybe he's kind of confused himself, and is asking himself what is he doing.

    He doesn't sound like much of a best friend. I think you've sent so much time being attracted to him, you built up this image of him in your mind that isn't entirely true. I think if you try and break away from him and spend time with other friends, you'll start to move on, because it doesn't sound like he will ever be serious about having a relationship with you

    What a best friend he is.
    Sounds to me like you to should work on the friendship, he isn't boyfriend type, he has to learn to make promises that he can keep.

    I don't know you but I KNOW you deserve better in a boyfriend & a 'BEST'friend
