Is it normal that i want to gain weight to become more attractive?

I'm an almost 19 year old girl who is a tad insecure about herself. Ever since I was a child I would get picked on for being skinny, this hasn't changed for me unfortuantely. I eat healthily and exercise, yet my metabolism is too fast and I can't gain weight. I'm 5'3 and weigh about 46kgs. I always see girls with fuller hips, thicker legs, bigger boobs being told they're super attractive... And I wanted to
gain weight for that reason. I started going to the gym and have a special diet, but I've gained literally nothing (not even 1kg)
Is there any options for me to gain weight? Should I reconsider it?

I suggest you consult a dietician. I'm jealous - I can't imagine wanting to put on weight, but then I was born fat and have stayed that way most of my life.

Cannabis is known to increase appetite, so you could also try that.

Wow! You had just adviced someone to do drugs.
You should really never do this.

Not "drugs", only cannabis, which has many medicinal qualities: how can you not know that?

Morphine has medical uses as well and is indeed prescribed to alleviate excrusciating pain.

My point is that *only* a doctor can suggest a drug which can have some other medical and legal side effects.

I once gained a crapload of weight in a very short time by completely slacking on exercise and eating a LOT of food. It was a bitch to slim down again. I want to say eat more and exercise less, but that's just wrong. You should really consider yourself lucky. Most people wish they could have your magical metabolism. I know I wish I do.

My parents always told me that I was skinny when I was really young, but then I guess I just ate a lot and got chubby. After that I don't remember what happened but I was pretty skinny again in high school. But now that a few years have passed since then I'm fat again. I have heard that people usually lose their baby fat by the time they become teenagers and then as they get closer to 30 they can get fat again if they don't watch their diet or don't exercise. So I'm guessing something like that happened to me.

Several women I knew growing up had this issue and it was odd to witness because they could always find the cutest clothes and they were skinny without trying. I didn't understand where they were coming from until I grew up.

A family friend used to wear sometimes two or three pairs of pants to make herself appear fuller in certain areas. One of my aunts and younger cousins used to take appetite pills to gain weight (can't recall the name of them).

Everyone says to accept yourself and be happy. It's easier said than done. Once a lot of women get older and they're still not happy with their appearance they get implants and/or booty shots (yes, booty shots are real). And when I say implants, I mean breasts and butt. If you don't want to go that route, there are protein bars that are supposed to help you gain weight; all you have to do is Google "protein bars that help you gain weight" and you can read up on them. I don't know if they'll work, but if you really want to change your appearance, it's worth a shot. Also, you can go to your doctor and ask them. Believe it or not, they may be able to direct you to a nutritionist that could recommend a healthy diet and exercise program that can help you.

People do a lot of things to alter their appearance in order to feel good about themselves: lip injections, tanning, etc. It's all a matter of choice. Do what feels right for you so that you can feel good about yourself. :-)
