Is it normal that i want to change my last name to my friends' last names?

I left my homestate a while back (3 years to be exact) and in result, I lost both of my closest friends whom I miss very much. I long to be back with them everyday and I could never forget them (as I love them too much and I'd never replace them). I was actually planning of changing my last name to both of theirs so we'll always have a personal bond and in a sense, the two of them will always be with me (as they are in my dreams). IIN?

    You can't visit them, call them, email them, or video chat them? Make more of an effort if they mean so much to you.

    You guys are assholes. No, I can't contact them in anyway and I'd only be doing it in memoir of them. I want to do it because it's the only feasible thing I can do for them to keep my memory of them alive. I can dream, but when have dreams ever been enough?

      WHY can't you contact them? Unless they're dead or don't want to contact you, there is no reasonable reason

        That isn't my real name. I can't give my real name to people I can't be close to online. I can't contact them because I don't have phone numbers, emails, and the like (but they are still alive, I think). I'm out of state too and I don't know any of their relatives to help me contact them.

        That reason sounds pretty reasonable to me.

          If you have their names, you can look them up.

          You're just making excuses to feel sorry for yourself. Do something to improve your situation.

          And ffs, enough with the new accounts every five seconds...that's really not doing yourself any favours.

            You don't think I've tried that? I have. It didn't neccessarily work. And they aren't just excuses (my friends don't have my phone # or email address either). Facebook pics are vague as heck and I don't have money for an advanced on-line search. I have tried, ok?

            Also, in order to simply reply to you, I have to make many accounts. It's none of your business if I do it anyway. If you're going to blame something blame the mods for enforcing that one-comment-per-day rule.

              The one comment per day rule was made to stop spammers who make accounts just to post the same comment on every post. Sound familiar?

              If the system picks up that the same person is creating multiple accoints, it limits the amount of comments that user can make. You have done that to yourself.

              I said it to help you. Fuck knows why I continue to bother, because you're hell bent on playing the victim.

    You'd be better off just trying to stay in contact with them, maybe get really nice matching necklaces or something. An old friend and I both got crystal heart necklaces, so they weren't those cheesy "best friends" necklaces. Friends do come and go, one of them might pull something that really destroys your friendship (I know, your friendship is invincible and totally immune to anything like that because you guys are special) and then you'll be stuck with their last name as a constant reminder of someone that seriously hurt you.
