I used to date this guy and he was crazy about me. At the time I wasnt interested and lately I've been missing him for some time. We are literally counterparts and were great together. When i broke it off, he was devastated and we became distant from each other. What would you do about this

I think you need to reflect on why you broke up and the severity of those issues . If it was immaturity or personal lacking that got in the way , maybe you can re kindle things in a new mind frame . It happens more often than not to just end up worse though or the same . I think you should think about it , contact him , have a talk and see where that goes and how it feels . It can be extremely tough to re kindle an old romance , I have tried . I had a very hard time losing my last and she was years ago , so I know the feeling but just use your head not just your head .
It depends, you might want to consider his feelings now though. He may have already moved on to someone new. You could contact him and see how he is, no harm in that.
Go with your gut feeling birdy but also be prepared emotionaly for him to reject your proposal.
