Is it normal that i unconsciously touch myself when i see torture devices?

I frequent reddit often, especially r/WTF. Some of the posts are about instruments of torture that were used in the inquisitions, witch trials, etc.
When I read these posts and see the devices, I begin to touch myself without realizing it. I also get hard and become aroused. I've always had a weird feeling as a kid when I heard about torture, real or fictional, that I couldn't really describe. Can anyone explain this? Do I need to see a doctor?
