Is it normal that i think the way some people act on the internet is evil?

One must be able to see good things, to see the bad ones. They cannot exist without each other. This is everywhere, not just the internet. Do what you can to balance it out, because you will go crazy trying to eliminate it.

The internet is an open forum for others to express their feelings and sometimes those feelings are feelings of anger and hatred that our textbook and desk-job society doesn't provide us with the proper tools to release. Knocking their feelings is just as bad as them knocking your own. The problem with the internet is that people see it and love taking it personally when in reality, the people who post negativity don't really care about you or what you think.

Yes, but certain people bully for reasons that make me think that perhaps we should show some compassion towards them and try to empathise and work out why they're acting the way they are. I am in no way condoning bullying, by the way. I hate abuse, and bullying is an awful thing. Just saying:).

And with the whole "good" and "evil" thing, I don't really think it's that clear cut, or that we're one or the other. People make mistakes and do bad things at times, and that doesn't necessarily make them a bad person. In my opinion, that is.:P

Good and Evil is everywhere. Whether it be online or off.

A lot of people are evil, online or offline. You get to chose whether you want to pay attention to it or not. I chose not to pay attention to people like that. I'm no hero myself, and I've said some pretty bad things, but I've changed my ways and even made an apology board somewhere online about a year ago. I was just an immature teenager who didn't know how to use the internet properly.

I think people who say they have compassion, courtesy, empathy, and kindness as a way to make themselves look good are evil.

It's easier to take your anger out on a faceless person on the internet or over the phone than to face your own demons. It has become very common. I don't take it personally anymore

For the love of God imagine people more complexly! :P Trying to squeeze the whole population of the world into two categories is ridiculous. You say we have to pick a side, but we really don't. Look at me right now, not picking a side! Good and evil are just subjective words we use to describe stuff we like and stuff we don't.

You can't imagine everyone in the world as either an enemy or a friend. People are more than just one word. We can all agree cyber-bullying is shit, but calling everyone who does it "evil" and declaring a crusade against them won't solve a problem which is caused by people who lack power in other spheres of their lives lashing out in one of the spheres where they do have power.
