Is it normal that i think telemarketers are simply retarded?

Like, When I ask them WHY the product will be "50%" better than the item I currently own... they all fucking hang up. Or with the computer companies, damn basterds always call in the middle of the night (One had just woken me up, Causing me to write this.). God, Does anybody else think telemarketers are useless and down right retarded? I DONT WANT SOME CRAZY LAWN MOWER THAT IS 2x4 METERS!

    I am sure they did not have dreams or aspirations to become telemarketers. I bet a lot of them took the job out of desperation. I really don't think that they enjoy making those lame phone calls, they just have to.

      I did telesales, and I didn't enjoy it. So I can confirm this is true at least some of the time.

    I've done telemarketing when I was financially desperate and I HATED it. Most places I had a script I HAD to follow and calls were random monitored by supervisors to make sure I did exactly what I'd been told to do. It's shitty work and not even well paid, so I'm reasonably polite when I'm called EXCEPT the ones who get aggressive with me, then I hang up.

    I'm on the "Do Not Call" Register but they still slip through and it doesn't block so-called charities or political parties. I say "so called" because I've worked in call centres where I had to pretend I was calling from a charity when in fact the call centre was on a commission and the charity itself got hardly anything out of the donations.
