Is it normal that i think food tastes better when eaten off of skin?

I tend to think food tastes better when I eat it off my skin, or with my bare hands. When I drink things, I tend to pour a little bit onto the back of my hand and lick it off. When I eat yogurt, I prefer using my finger over a spoon. I just don't think the metal/plastic/glass used for plates, glasses, and eating utensils tastes good, and I think the natural saltiness of the skin improves the flavor. Don't get me wrong, I use utensils, I know how to eat properly, but when I'm alone, I tend to do this. I just think it makes the food taste better. Is this normal?

Your fingers secrete enzymes that start digestion of food.

Why do you think hands are salty in the first place?

Because they are. Sweat is salty, and the palms of your hands are the sweatiest place on your body.

Don't know if eating with your bare hands improves the taste of food, but a lot of people here in Jordan are eating mansaf with their bare hands..It's like a tradition.
