Is it normal that i stay in my bedroom for hours

I spend most of my time in my room and prefer to be in my room than in the lounge with my family. Sometimes my family would wonder why im always hiding in my room and not joining in with the family watching tv and eating dinner. I'm always spending most of my time in my room because being around my family is stressful especially when my parents are arguing, my younger siblings are shouting and screaming and all those other reasons. I am basically just always sleeping, listening to music, daydreaming and surfing the internet like facebook (playing 8 ball pool), youtube and other social medias. My mom and older sister keeps thinking im in my room because Im watching porn which is not true. I love being in my room, it's calming and i don't get distracted when I need the alone time.
