Is it normal that i repeat myself a lot when under the influence?

When I'm drunk or high I repeat what I say a lot.
It doesn't happen as much when I'm drunk more when I'm high.
I will say something, anything, then say it again 3-5 more times. this doesn't happen with EVERYTHING I say, but does happen quite a lot.
Mostly I just think it's probably very annoying to the people around me, and embarrassing for me.
does this happen to anyone else?

    Yeah dude, this is totally normal. One of the dudes I live with does this all the time and it's really cool. He just sits there and repeats my name over and over again. Sometimes I think he's having sex with me in his mind but I think we're both straight.

    I think that's normal. One of my older cousins kept telling the same story over and over again with out realizing it. He said the same words and in the same order, he just didn't realize he already told the story about 10 times

    I don't know if it's normal but I do this sober. Usually without realizing it. It irritates other people a lot.
