Is it normal that i remember something that happened years ago?

Well like duh. I remember shit from 35 years ago but can't remember 35 seconds ago...what was the question?

I'm 71 and still remember many things clearly from when I was 4! You will too if you live that old, as said, it's how memory works.

Yes. I can still remember everything I had for Christmas 1966!

It's extremely normal to remember things from long ago in your life, and I'm not sure why anyone would think otherwise.

People often cannot believe that I have memories dating back to when I was 2 (though admittedly, they're brief and really nothing of much significance at that age; just random memories). That was 23 years ago, so 10 years ago is no problem at all.

If something made any sort of impact, yeah you can remember probably for life. Even if it was some mundane moment,something causes us to remember.
