Age shouldn't have anything to do with it. The age difference isn't even that much. If you really love him and you KNOW he Ioves you, and both of you are ready, then I don't understand what the problem is. 3 years is nothing honestly, after all, he IS your boyfriend.

In most places you're legally able to have sex at 16. Look up the laws in your state if that's what you're worried about. But you're not going to report him anyway so have at it
It is totally legal for a 17 year old to have sex with a 19 year old in most states, the exceptions being in North Dakota, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Arizona.
