Having every TV show talk about going green bugs me because I really doubt they care about the environment, they just want to look good and make a profit. If they actually cared, they'd be out doing things instead of writing all this new eco friendly material for TV.

It seems a bit futile to me. It is annoying with all the green this and that and I guess its good that people are trying, but I think its a wasted effort. Too little, too late I say. Too many people on this earth that don't give a shit. Its only going to get worse I think.

That's one of the problems with human nature. It desires something new and don't like being told the same thing repeatedly, even if that thing is massively important for our survival.

I would make a deal with you, though. Split the world into two hemispheres and erect a huge barrier between them extending into space. Greenies get one half, other people get the other. On the other side, nobody even mentions ecology and you all do anything you want. But, the rule is that if your side starts to deteriorate, you're stuck with it. You're not allowed to switch.

    • Read my post again. No one wants to live on a deteriorated earth-which honestly I don't even get the whole thing because the earht will run out of natural resources on its own - I'm saying I'm tired of hearing people advocate so hard on the same shit when in actuality they really aren't doing much and could be doing so much more. I'm just saying don't tell people to buy toms to save money then spend billions of dollars on penis pumps(america).

I read your post again. I know what you were saying. It's what my first paragraph was about. I was kind of sympathising with you. Nobody wants to keep hearing the same message. But you understand the problem so what else is to be done?

We're never going to get a situation where everything is 100% sustainable and ethical and harmless. But that doesn't mean we should aim for it. Even 1% is better than 0%.
