Is it normal that i noticed when i drive down long stretch of roads the road ..

Is it normal that when I drive down long stretch of roads that it appears the road is very slighting bending... almost like I was going down a tiny hill..... even though when I get to that spot where it looked like it was bending that it was really straight? Is this some sort of optical illusion or am I so anxious that I am tricking my vision?? It's driving me mad.

It's an optical illusion. I work highway construction and drive a minimum of an hour to work everyday all highway driving. I experience the same thing. Same kind of thing as when you think you see a wet spot/puddle on the road ahead of you but get there and it is dry.

Thank you so much. That makes me feel so much better. It's amazing how my anxiety from it all causes me to feel much more worse than anything. The human brain is amazing.

Could be the heat waves bouncing off the hot pavement.

This happens to me too as well as some other things and I don't drive!

Thanks! That is what a Dr. told me online. I just don't see any waves like I would normally on a hot day.
