Is it normal that i'm scared of new years eve 2013 after having this dream?

Hi,

Last night I had a dream that God sent an angel to earth to tell me that He was going to come back on New Years Eve of 2013. Nobody was told about this except for me. And then the angel told me that if I don't get saved before New Years Eve comes then I'll be sent to Hell. Then the angel went back to Heaven. I was in complete panic at this point and I wanted to get saved but, I wasn't sure how, and I started to walk around outside to try and calm down. Then I think I woke up from the dream.

Now I'm really scared of New Years Eve this year after having that dream and I don't want it to come. Is this normal?

Honestly don't worry, it's just a dream. Besides, if you are a theist and really believe this might be a message from God, then think about this: God is omnibenevolent (all-loving) and forgiving. Angels are saviours. There is no way either God or an angel would come to you to tell you you're going to hell and predict your doom.
Unless you've been on a recent killing spree, you have nothing to worry about and can be safe in the thought of going to heaven after death.

None of this dream has any correlation to fact or reality. It is a fantasy based on other fantasies.
    1) New Year's Eve isn't. This date has absolutely no Astronomical significance.
    2) Both deities and angels are (usually) fantastic creatures of folklore. Please provide evidence that these creatures actually exist.
    3) The fantastic Netherworld and fantastic region of outer space, simply do not exist.

There is absolutely no sound reason to be frightened. But this begs the question, why are some religious people always running around and trying to frighten people?

I've had lots o' wierd dreams in which I woke up worried about something. Once, I dreamt I was at school and that I carried around my pooh bear blanket with me and I was freaked out for hours thinking, did I really do that?!? The dream was incredibly realistic and the reactions on people's faces seeing me with my blanket were fairly close to real life reactions. I ended up asking a friend if I brought my blanket to school and he just looked at me funny and laughed. It's perfectly normal :)

You know.... I once had a dream about my gramma killing me and my cousins, so...... I have seen worse . The way I got over it was basicly just telling myself would gramma REALLY do that?

Sounds scary. I'd be paranoid as fuck. Luckily it's just a dream. Your own brain trying to scare you :)

Perhaps deep inside you, you feel like you're doing something wrong in life. Or maybe you feel like you're not living how you should be. So your subconscious is trying to tell you this through weird dreams.

I have to say that does sound pretty scary. In all honesty, and this maybe bad advice, but wouldn't that be a good reason to try to live it up now, this year. It could just be a meaningless dream though.
