Iin, that i'm only interested in lightskin black/black+white mix?

So I'm a Black-British Ghanaian girl. I don't knw where this frenzy came on but I'm so interested and attracted by lightskin black boys or mixed boys of black and white. I'm darkskinned. I wouldn't mind dating a darker skinned black person but I love love love the lighter ones. Not just because of their skin but they have a certain feature.

I've seen some pretty ugly ones too and some attractive darker guys but idk. I love the butterscotches! Especially with the bright eyes.

My friends go for the darker guys and think I'm crazy because of this. It's something that's been in me for a while now.
My friends tell me I'm a beautiful chocolate and should go for a guy out there that's the same skin as me so we share the same mentality of race. Now this is where the problem lies for me

A lot of dark skin black guys mostly would go for the light skin sisters. And it's not a big issue but it stings. We're all black but in the U.K there is this racial slur that a lot of black boys use on other black girls and it's "blick" not black. "BLICK" No other race has this but us blacks and we always degrading each other.

If I was to stand next to a light skin girl and a black guy had to choose. 9 times out of 10, the light skin would get chosen and that's ok. So Idk. Liking lighter guys has just been my thing and it's normal for me now. I can see a cute lightie and gass over him and my friends would just stare at me like I'm mad.

If I'm on the street and see a light skin who catches my eyes, my whole body different.

I certainly don't go for Asians, whites, Latinos, black and Asian or Asian or white or a whole mix and that's just my preference. Either toffee black and up

I 100% fully and honestly love my dark and melanin infused complexion and would never change that for anything or anybody. But I have this feel and urge for the lighter boys

Nowadays, we all praising the beauty of black women but never really knows what goes on. Having everyone excluding us.

Is there a way I can come over this?
