Is it normal that i'm nice to women even though i've already made up my mind?

I've been on dates before where I treat the woman nice even though I've already made up my mind that I don't like her and don't want to see her again. By nice I mean I will take her jacket, open the door for her, pay most of the way, etc. But in reality I know that I'm not going to ask her out again because I'm not interested for one reason or another. I was just raised that this was the proper way to do things.

Is this normal?

    Well, I was raised similarly. And judging by the plight which seems uncommon these days--dealing with manners-- its fine to. Sometime later, say, the next day, you could call them and say you don't think it'll work out. That's the nice thing to do.

      I think so. But I got into an argument with a friend who said that being nice makes her think that you're just doing it because you want something out of her. This is bizarre to me.

        I can understand why she would feel that way. Being that nice on a date implies some romantic interest, which is different than being nice under different circumstances.

        Maybe you could be nice as well as be honest about your intentions.

        Personally, I would want to know if my date wasn't into me, rather than have them pretend they are. Honesty is gentlemanly.

              That's what women say they want, but it isn't true. What they want is the "bad boy" but they want him to "change" or "my love will change him you'll see".

              But that doesn't happen.
